The location of the hotel is really convenient, just a short walk to the nearby Lavender MRT station. This makes it easy to explore the city and get around. the beds in the dorms are comfortable and the showers have plenty of space. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing assistance whenever needed.
Some previous guests mentioned that the quadruple rooms don't have windows, which may not be ideal for those who prefer natural light.

Made very welcome: Interesting mix of guests: Opportunity to sit and chat with others: Helpfull staff: Clothes washing service: Free wi-fi and internet ready computers available.
Other guests had not used the TV channels so they had been withdrawn - people used the web for news: Was not made clear in Bookings.com that it would be necessary to pay in cash.

The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well, which was a relief in the hot weather. The location of the hotel was convenient, close to public transportation and easily accessible. the staff was friendly and helpful, providing useful information about the city.
There was a lack of social atmosphere in the hotel, with no common areas for guests to interact. The rooms were small and dark, giving them a cramped and claustrophobic feel.

reasonable price, nice service, laundry service (8SGD once) is not need to take care by yourself
restroom, wash room and etc may be need to simply decorated, only concrete wall seems a little dirty. location is a little remote but traffic is convenient. simple breakfast only contains bread (butter) and coffee

Great place to stay to see Singapore on a budget. We're a family of 4 with two teenage children and got a quad to ourselves. Generally very comfortable, clean and friendly. Easy connections to buses and there's a pretty authentic food court just across the intersection and a grocery about 10 minutes by foot. The staff always helped us out with good tips on getting around. We would stay here again.
The quad room was convenient but also pretty cramped. The room also had no windows or ventilation, although the a/c worked fine.

I had a fantastic stay at Rucksack Inn! I stayed for a few nights and found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The kitchen was a great convenience, and the overall cleanliness of the hostel was impressive. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and even though the rooms had a slightly rustic appearance, they were still well-maintained. The location was perfect with the train stations just a short walk away. I also appreciated the regularly cleaned bathrooms and the opportunity to meet fellow travelers in the communal areas.
Totally recommend this hotel!

The hostel was very nice. Extremely clean and courteous staff. Location with very good transport nearby. The room was extremely small. Only with space for bed! We had barely space to open the bags! Excelete for anyone wishing to see the city!

I felt like I got great value for my money at Rucksack Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient with two nearby metro stations.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better at Rucksack Inn was if they provided some milk for the coffee. Other than that, everything was good and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

we liked the atmosphere and the friendlyness of the staff. also the interior is really nice, the bathroom looks like a really modern bathroom of some designer. the three macstations in the common area are a blast. as you enter the hostel, you feel suddenly like you stepped in someone's living room.
I didn't really checked before so it is my fault, but the rooms don't have windows. you can sleep really long because of that (no light from the outside) but I prefer windows.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
